VNHNO - Recently, Grab has officially co-operated with China's online health care company Ping An Good Doctor to offer a number of new services to its clients.
Providing drug delivery and online check-up appointment scheduling
This joint venture aims to address the shortage of medical infrastructure in some Southeast Asian countries. Grab will work with Ping An Good Doctor to provide new services including delivery of drugs and online check-up appointment scheduling.

According to Grab’s data, Indonesia now has only 1 doctor / 5000 population. The service offered by Grab will help to reduce the gap between rural and urban area in terms of access to doctors in Indonesia and some Southeast Asian countries.
According to the news, a 30-percent stake in the joint venture will be hold by Grab, while the remaining belonged to Ping An Good Doctor. Both companies will initially invest $ 20 million in joint ventures. It is expected that the service will be deployed in some Southeast Asian countries in the first quarter of 2016 and use GrabPay to carry out transactions.
New steps in the race of of becoming “ super application”
On July 7, 2018, in Singapore,“Anthony Tan”, a co-founder and CEO of Grab,has announced a strategy for becoming "super application": GrabPlatform. This is a series of application programming interfaces that enable partners to integrate services into the Grab platform.
Grab will implement a series of the most frequent used programs in daily life into Grab application through the combination of industry-leading partners, those who can use GrabPlatform to integrate Grab with their services. At present, GrabPlatform has been operating in Singapore and Indonesia. Through these joint ventures, Grab will rapidly develop a range of new services to keep its users. Grab's partners will have the opportunity to tap into the market with more than 100 million mobile devices already installed.

Prior to the drug delivery service and online appointment scheduling, Grab has co-ordinated with HappyFresh - the No.1 grocery store supplier in Southeast Asia to create the grocery delivery service within one hour. Currently, the service offers over 100,000 products from 50 supermarket chains and specialty stores.
Grab’s CEO confidently stated: “No one in South East Asia has ever developed an open platform and oriented it into a “ super application” like us.”
