At the event on announcing the information and communications infrastructure planning on February 23, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam instructed big postal service companies to gather resources to develop the postal infrastructure coverage to serve e-commerce. The network must use modern technology and have optimal connections. Infrastructure sharing is encouraged to reduce logistics costs.
It is expected that total service capacity of the postal network would reach 93,000 tons of postal items a day, and the time limit for inter-provincial and international delivery up to five days.
