VNHNO - Being the first airline in Vietnam to operate under hybrid model (The combination of traditional and affordable aviation), Bamboo Airways is expected to offer a variety of options for passengers. Recently, FLC Group has officially held the launching ceremony of Bamboo Airways, also known as "Tre Viet".

On 18th August, at the international convention center in Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), the event introducing Bamboo Airways officially took place. The event had the presence of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu, leaders of central ministries and departments, leaders of more than 40 provinces as well as leaders of many central and local press agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, FLC Group Chairman Trinh Van Quyet proclaimed that Bamboo Airways was the first airline in Vietnam to adopt a hybrid model. Customers of Bamboo Airways will experience a range of advanced amenities at a reasonable price. The hybrid model is confirmed to be able to meet the needs of every customer segment.

In terms of service, Bamboo Airways offers a variety of airfares, initially scheduled to offer two classes which are Business Class and Economy. The airway will then continue expanding the ticket categories, which may include First Class or Premium Economy.
At the ceremony, the first images of the interior furniture were revealed by Bamboo Airways. Two types of aircraft used by Bamboo Airways are furnished in luxury style with spacious cabin, amazing soft floor mats, leather upholstery seat. Prior to the event, FLC signed an agreement to purchase 24 Airbus A321 NEOs and 20 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

A new milestone for Vietnam's aviation industry
On September 17, The Prime Minister has officially approved the project to establish Bamboo Airways. FLC Group’s airline together with other airlines of Vietnam will make an effort to achieve the goal of making tourism become one of the main economic sectors in Vietnam
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu shared at the launching ceremony: "I appreciate the bravery to be a pioneer doing such thing for the first time of the FLC Group. With the motto “ Keep faith”, I firmly believe that FLG Group will fulfill its mission.

The event marked an important milestone of not only FLC Group but also Binh Dinh Province and Vietnam’s aviation. Up to now, Bamboo Airways is the fourth airline in Vietnam along with Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air and Jetstar Pacific.
A new choice for customers.
In lieu of national airports like Noi Bai or Tay Son Nhat, which are always overloaded with a large number of passengers, Bamboo Airway is a fresh alternative that customers can choose from a variety of domestic and international destinations, with flexible routes and the most convenient time zones. Bamboo Airways customers will be able to fly directly from the international and domestic markets to Vietnam's emerging destinations such as Quy Nhon, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Phu Quoc where infrastructure is undeveloped and transportation is expensive and very time-consuming.
During the launch of Bamboo Airways, the uniform of flight attendants was introduced. The uniform with three main colors of the brand (green and two shades of blue). The vest and the dress were a Vietnamese style design which is very noble but still friendly. The uniform is not easy to ignite, heat resistant, anti-static, cold resistant and also easy to move. In addition to the vest, female attendants are also equipped with long coats for the cold season. Scarves are one of the most distinctive highlights of the costume.

The first flights are expected to be launched this October, and Bamboo Airways also plans on opening 37 domestic and international fly routes in the near future.
