Winners of “Technology with Heart” contest honored

A ceremony was held on June 5 at the headquarters of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) to honor winners of the “Technology with Heart” photo and video contest.

Speaking at the event, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang sent congratulations to the winners, emphasizing that the outstanding works highlighted special and humane values brought about by scientific and technological achievements. These works have touched the hearts of viewers with storytelling skills and impressive imagery.

The organizing panel awards the first prize to winners.

Through these works, it can be seen that technology not only is an indispensable part of daily activities now but it also brings people closer. That is the difference compared to previous technology competitions, and the message that the VNA and the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) would like to widely spread among the public.

According to the organizing panel, after three months (January 25 - April 30), the contest attracted the participation of a large number of authors. The entries included nearly 1,700 photos and 87 video clips.

After careful assessment, the jury selected 32 outstanding works for the awards, with the categories of single photo, photo series, and video clip. Photographer Tran Van Hieu from Hanoi with his work “Passion with robots” won the first prize in the single photo category. The photo series “METRO technology – unjamming urban traffic” taken by Ngo Thi Thu Ba from Ho Chi Minh City ranked first in the photo series category. Vu Hong Van with her work “Technology with heart’ secured first place in the video clip category.

The contest, the first coordination between the VNA and Viettel, aimed to spread positive images and meaningful messages on humane values that technology brings to life and honor the science and technology community of all ages and professions, toward building a digital society where people can enjoy the achievements of modern technology and feel safe in the digital space.
