It is the first Vietnamese real estate project to grab the title, the highest among the IPAs.
The high-end project also won the Best International Residential Development and the Best Residential Development Asia Pacific at the 2018 IPA which took place in London earlier this week.
The World’s Best Property award reflects not only an achievement of VinGroup but also the competence of Vietnam’s real estate developers, said Vinhomes CEO Nguyen Dieu Linh.
It showed that Vietnamese developers have risen to the level of, even outweighed, many international players in creating the most livable spaces, she said.
Vinhomes, a subsidiary of Vingroup, is responsible for real estate development of the group, with a charter capital of nearly 26.38 trillion VND (1.13 billion USD).
Since 2012, a range of the firm’s projects have been continuously awarded in different categories of the IPA, such as the Best Mixed-Used Development and the Best Retail Development.
The 183-hectare Vinhomes Riverside is located in Long Bien district, just over 6km from downtown Hanoi. It offers a total of more than 1,400 luxury villas, surrounded by lakes and natural green areas of about 60 hectares to create a balance between people and nature.
The International Property Awards, given away annually by the UK-based International Property Media Ltd., are open to residential and commercial property professionals from around the globe.
The awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry, and an IPA is thus a world-renowned mark of excellence.
The awards are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, the UK, and the USA. The highest-scoring winners from each region are automatically entered into the overall International Awards, which ultimately determine the world’s finest property companies./.
