Ho Chi Minh City plans fireworks to celebrate National Day

VNHNO - The Ho Chi Minh City government is planning to light up the sky with fireworks on September 2 to mark Vietnam’s National Day.

VNHNO - The Ho Chi Minh City government is planning to light up the sky with fireworks on September 2 to mark Vietnam’s National Day.

Fireworks are planned to be set off over the Saigon River Tunnel in District 2 and the Dam Sen Cultural Park in District for 15 minutes from 21h00.

One day earlier, the municipal authorities are scheduled to offer flowers and incense to Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang at the two museums dedicated to them and at President Ho Chi Minh’s statue in front of the municipal People’s Committee building.

On August 31, a photo exhibition will be held at Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi Streets.

To celebrate the National Day, Ho Chi Minh City also plans to hold various artistic programmes, as well as a bicycle race around the city and a banquet for diplomatic missions and international organisations, among others.

* In Phu Tho province’s capital city of Viet Tri, the Military Region 2 Museum is open seven days a week on the occasion of National Day, attracting thousands of visitors.

Meanwhile naval officers and soldiers throughout the country also held coastal clean-up activities to mark National Day./.
