VNHNO - The leaders of China, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Russia, Singapore and Thailand sent congratulatory messages and letters to the Vietnamese leaders on the 73rd anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Nguyen Phu Trong, and Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang sent his congratulations to Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, while Chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress Li Zhanshu sent his congratulatory message to National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

In their messages, the Chinese leaders expressed their delight at and highly valued Vietnam's recent achievements, while stating their belief that, under the leadership of the CPV, the Vietnamese people will certainly soon realise the goal of building a socialist Vietnam with a wealthy people in a strong, democratic, equitable and civilised nation. They also affirmed that China attaches significant importance to developing its relationship with Vietnam and that China is willing to work with Vietnam to promote the comprehensive strategic partnership in order to develop in a stable, healthy and sustainable fashion.
* General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Lao President Bounnhang Vorachith, Lao PM Thongloun Sisoulith and Lao National Assembly Chairwoman Pany Yathotou extended their congratulations to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
In their message, the Lao leaders expressed their delight at the incessant development of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.
They once again expressed their deep gratitude for Vietnam's valuable, timely and effective assistance to Laos in the aftermath of the recent floods in Attapeu province, while affirming that, despite complex regional and global situations, Laos will continue to work with Vietnam to cultivate the Laos-Vietnam special relationship to make it ever green and sustainable.
* Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party, Prime Minister Hun Sen, Cambodian Senate President Say Chhum and senior parliamentarian Heng Samrin sent congratulatory letters to the Central Committee of the CPV, President Tran Dai Quang, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
In their letters, the Cambodian leaders sincerely congratulated Vietnam on its recent achievements under the sound leadership of the CPV, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, which has helped to increase the role and position of Vietnam in the region and the world.
They also highly valued the development of the time-honoured solidarity and friendship, as well as the comprehensive and sustainable cooperation between the two countries, affirming their determination to strengthen and expand the ever closer ties.
The Cambodian leaders wished Vietnam to achieve new and even greater victories in the national development process towards prosperity.
* Cuban President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers Miguel Diaz-Canel sent his congratulatory message to President Tran Dai Quang and PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
In his message, the Cuban leader extended his warmest greetings to Vietnam and affirmed his determination to further strengthen the friendly, brotherly and cooperative relationship between the two countries.
* Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin and Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko sent their congratulations to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang and PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
In the messages, the Russian leaders highly valued the time-honoured friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership, which has seen dynamic developments and recorded significant achievements in consolidating the trusted political relationship, increasing economic-trade, scientific-technological, cultural and humanity cooperation, meeting the interest of the two countries' people, and contributing to peace, security in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Russian leaders expressed their belief that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's upcoming visit to Russia will foster the bilateral cooperation for mutual benefits in all areas, as well as the enhancing the close coordination in international and regional issues of shared interest.
* Singaporean Halimah Yacob and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong sent their congratulatory letters to President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
In their letters, the Singaporean leaders congratulated Vietnam on its significant socio-economic progress in recent years as one of the fastest-growing economies in the region, an attractive destination and top choice of foreign investors, including Singapore.
They emphasised that the two countries have a good relationship at present, with this year marking the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 5th anniversary of the strategic partnership. They also expressed their wish to further cooperate with the Vietnamese leaders to expand cooperation and bring the bilateral relationship to a new height in the future.
* In his congratulatory message to PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Thailand's PM Prayut Chan-o-cha emphasised that Vietnam and Thailand have a close and dynamic relationship built on the foundation of a shared vision, interest and the long-established people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
He also affirmed the determination to work more closely with Vietnam to further strengthen the bilateral relationship for the common benefits and prosperity of the two countries' people and the region.
* On this occasion, Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Lao Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith, Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan also sent congratulatory messages to Vietnamese Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh./.
