Traditional Tet market space is re-inact in Hoa Lu Old quarter.
According to the Department of Tourism, the traditional Lunar New Year Festival and tourist gift market is the first in a series of activities to mark 10 years since the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex earned UNESCO's recognition as the world's cultural and natural heritage site.
This is one of the new and unique tourism products to attract tourists and provide them with a fresh experience of the cultural and historical land of Hoa Lu.
There are 80 booths that sell food, specialties, flowers and plants, handicraft products, ornaments, souvenirs and local OCOP products.
Tourists can take part in diverse activities such as making Chung cake (square glutinous rice cake), folk paintings, and calligraphy or folk games.
Especially, there are pavilions re-enacting the traditional Tet market space and the daily life of Vietnamese people in the subsidy period.
The event does not only offer visitors experiences of the traditional Tet space but it also encourages and fosters the development of gifts and souvenirs for tourists in Ninh Binh, thereby helping to popularise the image of Ninh Binh tourism.
