He affirmed that Chile wants to boost its relations with Vietnam, as well as ASEAN member countries in general. He suggested that the two sides reinforce and promote progress in trade cooperation, while expanding investment collaboration between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to increase the exchange of high-level delegations; bolster economic, trade, and investment ties; while supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing each other’s market; and enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
They pledged to cooperate closely at multilateral forums, especially the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, and in the process of approving and implementing the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)./.
