VNHNO - Two friendship associations of Vietnam and Japan held a ceremony on September 18 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The function was attended by Head of the Central Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Kunio Umeda and Special Advisor to the Japanese Government Koya Nishikawa.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Party and State, Politburo member Chinh said that the friendship and high level of political trust are a solid foundation for close and effective cooperation between the two countries which provide new momentum for a relationship of continued prosperity in all fields for Vietnam and Japan.
He added that besides the states’ diplomatic relations and people-to-people exchanges, parliamentary relations between the two countries have also seen continuous developments, noting that the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians Group is an important bridge which serves to promote their bilateral relationship./.
