Annually held by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the contest offers a playground for students passionate about robotics from the Asia-Pacific region.
Thirteen teams from 12 countries and territories have registered for the contest. Viet Nam has two representative teams, SKH-AUTOMATION and SKH-CK1, from Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.
All teams will compete under the theme "Harvest Day", inspired by terraced rice cultivation. Robots must perform tasks that simulate the rice cultivation process, from sowing seeds to harvesting, within a set period.
The event is a science and technology competition and an opportunity for young people to connect, learn, and share experiences.
Besides official matches, cultural exchanges and sightseeing tours of Ha Long Bay will also be held within the framework of the competition.
The contest is expected to help Quang Ninh popularize its image, people, and culture in particular, as well as Viet Nam's in general, to international friends and contribute to affirming Viet Nam's position in technology.
The event will be broadcast live on Viet Nam Television Channel 2 (VTV2), and livestreamed on the social media platform Facebook of VTV2 "Quality of life" on August 25./.
