VNHNO - A wide variety of activities have been held across the country to mark the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).
A special art programme entitled “Keeping All Confidence in the Party” was held in Hanoi on August 19.
The event was jointly held by the Political Affairs Department under the Ministry of Public Security and the Department of Communications and Training under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army. The programme highlighted the glorious tradition of the People’s Police Force and the People’s Army in the cause of national construction and defence.

On the same day, an inauguration ceremony for a monument dedicated to the People's Police Force was held in the central province of Quang Tri. The monument aims to educate younger generations on the revolutionary traditions, patriotism, and national construction and defence.
* On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, the 107th anniversary of the birth of late General Vo Nguyen Giap (August 25, 1911-2018), an arts performance was held in the central province of Quang Binh on August 19.
The event featured various timeless songs, dances and documentary films praising the Party, nation, and revolutionary cause, as well as honouring heroic Vietnamese mothers and revolutionary contributors.
* A tournament between traditional martial arts clubs concluded in the central province of Thanh Hoa on August 19 after three days of competition.
This year’s event attracted nearly 1,000 athletes from 32 martial arts clubs from Thanh Hoa city, Sam Son city, and Quang Xuong, Tinh Gia, Hoang Hoa, and Thieu Hoa provinces. The athletes competed in two events of performance and combat for both men and women./.
