VNHNO - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged the relevant ministries and agencies to prepare diligently for the World Economic Forum on ASEAN (WEF ASEAN), which is set to take place from September 11-13 in Vietnam.
He made the request at a meeting of key government members on August 22 to discuss the preparatory work for the event.
PM Phuc emphasised the imperative of leaving a good impression of Vietnam on the forum participants from the moment of welcome at the airport to accommodation, food, the environment and the hospitality of the Vietnamese people.

He also called for efforts to ensure safety and security at the event, step up communication about the event both at home and abroad and facilitate media coverage of the forum.
According to the organisers, eight heads of state and government have confirmed their participation in the WEF ASEAN, which will also welcome dozens of ministers, and hundreds of business leaders and representatives of international organisations.
The opening session chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the WEF Chairman is expected to be attended by 800-1,000 delegates.
Following the agenda for the WEF ASEAN, which includes nearly 60 sessions, the Vietnam Business Summit will be held on September 13 with the participation of more than 1,000 delegates, who are representatives of major Vietnamese and foreign companies./.
