The “Art for Climate” festival in Halong is expected to take place from January 13 to 19, 2025. This international-scale event was originally planned to be held in a Middle Eastern country, but Arsuprema, the French organization behind the “Art for Climate” initiative, chose Halong Bay as the venue.

Selecting Halong Bay serves a dual purpose: it honors artistic values while also raising awareness about heritage conservation and environmental protection in the face of climate change.

According to the organizers, approximately 80,000 people are expected to participate in the event. Attendees will include policymakers, local administrators, artists, environmental activists, investors, students, and various community members.

Notably, over 200 European billionaires - who have previously participated in other “Art for Climate” events - are expected to attend, along with potential Asian billionaires. This will mark their first visit to Vietnam.

What makes this occasion even more special is that these billionaires plan to arrive in Halong Bay by superyacht. The organizers intend to collaborate with local authorities to arrange mooring spots for the yachts at beautiful sandy beaches nestled between the mountains of Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.

In the first nine months of this year Quang Ninh received 15.6 million visitors, a 20% increase year-on-year, with tourism revenues soaring 39% to VND37 trillion (US$1.49 billion).
