VNHN - The National Assembly (NA) Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children held a meeting in Hanoi on November 19 with NA deputies who are teachers, former teachers and former educational managers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20).

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc applauded the significant contributions made by the NA deputies – teachers, stressing that the Party and State always place top priority to the education and training sector.
He also urged the NA deputies – former educational managers to make supplements for the completion of the revised Law on Education while effectively supervising the implementation of NA’s laws and resolutions on education and training.
On the afternoon of the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a meeting with outstanding teachers and educational managers, during which he extended best wishes for the guests on their traditional day.
He expressed his hope that Vietnamese teachers will continue enriching their knowledge and improving their classroom skills, reaffirming that the Party and State have crated most favourable conditions for teachers at work.
Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also attended a ceremony held in Thai Nguyen province yesterday to honour outstanding teachers of Thai Nguyen University.
Congratulating Thai Nguyen University’s teachers and lecturers on Teachers’ Day, the Vice President called on the teachers to make further contributions to nurturing the country’s future generations.
At the ceremony, she presented 30 scholarships to students of the university./.
