Preparations for welcoming tourists in 2025 have been actively implemented by tourism businesses in recent times. Notably, tourist areas and attractions in the eastern part of the province have urgently addressed damage caused by natural disasters, beautified the landscape, upgraded infrastructure, and are ready to welcome tourists from the beginning of the new year.

The Ky Co tourist area (Quy Nhon Dong ward) has completed the restoration of approximately 50% of its infrastructure for sightseeing and relaxation; renovated the landscapes, added photo spots at the accommodation and restaurant areas, and officially reopened to visitors from mid-December 2025. Simultaneously, further construction of check-in points and diversification of experiential services will continue to meet the needs of tourists.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Ky Co tourist area, shared: “The Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 is also the peak season for beach tourism, therefore, the events organized by the province at the beginning of the new year will create important momentum to help businesses attract tourists and recover business operations.”

At the Ham Ho Rosa Alba eco-tourism area (Binh Phu commune), comprehensive renovation work is also being implemented. The landscape, photo spots, restaurants, hotels, stilt houses, and stream bridges are being inspected and repaired to ensure the best conditions to serve tourists from the beginning of 2026.
Mr. Tran Minh Tri, Deputy Executive Director of Ham Ho Rosa Alba Tourist Area, said: “We need to organize programs that create highlights to ‘kick off’ tourism activities in the province in the new year, especially in the context of tourism gradually regaining its growth momentum. We also focus on improving service quality and developing attractive packages for entertainment, recreation, and food to attract visitors.”
Accommodation establishments and entertainment venues in the mountain town of Pleiku are bustling with visitors during the New Year season.

Accommodation establishments in Pleiku and the surrounding areas are also preparing to welcome a larger number of guests. Mr. Nguyen Tran Hanh, manager of Lucky Star Hotel (Pleiku ward), said: “More than 60% of our guests are currently tourists from outside the province. To contribute to stimulating tourism, the hotel is implementing a program to reduce room rates by 15%, improve service quality, and enhance amenities.”

Meanwhile, Tre Xanh Hotel (Pleiku ward) consistently achieves high occupancy rates, especially during New Year and Lunar New Year, but maintains its room rates to serve tourists without increasing prices.
Mr. Van Minh Khoa, manager of Tre Xanh Hotel, said: “The hotel is increasing its staff and decorating the space to welcome the New Year. As the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 approaches, the hotel will design decorative corners with a Horse theme, sending guests wishes of good luck, peace, and success.”
Travel businesses are also proactively developing new products, focusing on exploiting day-trip experiential tours and 2-3 day tours connecting Quy Nhon - Pleiku, Gia Lai with neighboring provinces.
Tours for the new year are also being designed by travel companies to focus on forest and sea experiences.

Mr. Pham Hoang Truc, Director of Gotour Travel Company (Quy Nhon Nam Ward), said: “We design tours focusing on experiencing Quy Nhon - Pleiku, exploring the natural landscapes of the highlands, learning about the culture of ethnic minorities, and enjoying typical local cuisine. In addition, we offer promotional discounts of 5-10% to provide more options for tourists.”
The New Year's Eve countdown program for 2026 will be held simultaneously at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon ward) and Dai Doan Ket Square (Pleiku ward), creating a highlight to attract tourists to celebrate the New Year's Eve, while also promoting the image of Gia Lai - a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.
In particular, in 2026, Gia Lai province will host the National Tourism Year, an event of great significance for the development of the local tourism industry, requiring thorough and coordinated preparation.
From the beginning of 2026, the Department will focus on reviewing and perfecting the product system, improving service quality, emphasizing human resource training, and promoting tourism. It will encourage tourism businesses to strengthen linkages and develop unique products bearing the distinctive mark of Gia Lai. All hope is to usher in a vibrant tourism season, aiming for the successful organization of the National Tourism Year 2026, contributing to affirming Gia Lai's position on the Vietnamese tourism map. - Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism
