“Ao Dai Week” takes place from March 1 to March 8, 2024 and launches the wearing of Ao dai simultaneously on March 8, 2024 at agencies and units. To increase the excitement and attractiveness of this year's “Ao dai Week” event, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union continues to promote propaganda on mass media and social media channels through posting images and video clips in response on the electronic information page, Zalo, Facebook of associations at all levels from province to province. establishments, agencies, units and localities. Ms. Pham Kieu Cam, Member of the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union of the Department of Home Affairs of Ca Mau province, said: “After receiving the document launching the response to “Ao dai Week” in 2024 of the Provincial Women's Union, Grassroots trade union of the Department of Home Affairs has deployed it to all female union members and received support and positive response from women. Ao dai (traditional long dress) has established itself as a cultural symbol connected with the image of Vietnamese women. Wearing the Ao dai, myself and the union women feel more confident and proud, seeing this as an opportunity to preserve beautiful images of the traditional ao dai of Vietnamese women. Ms. Ngo Thuy Minh, Chairwoman of Dam Doi District Labor Federation, said: “The Ao dai is not only a beautiful image of Vietnamese women in the eyes of friends around the world, but also a traditional characteristics of our culture. That's why when I wear the ao dai, my sisters and I all felt very proud. To respond to “Ao dai Week” in 2024, Dam Doi District Labor Federation has launched affiliated grassroots unionEncourage female officials, trade union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers to wear traditional ao dai when attending commemorative activities, major holidays, and local events, departments, and branches, agencies, units, community activities and during the working day in accordance with the conditions and characteristics of each industry and occupation, ensuring convenience and labor safety. Activities to respond to “Ao dai Week” take place from March 1 to March 8, 2024, with a focus on wearing ao dai simultaneously on March 8, 2024. Thereby, to spread the beauty of Ao dai in the workplace and living place. Accordingly, it is recommended that the grassroots trade union closely coordinate with the women's association at the same level to organize responses to “Ao dai Week” activities, strengthening propaganda and promotion work before, during and after organizing the activities to respond to “Ao dai Week” via the media, social network paltforms of branches, agencies and units such as websites, Zalo, Facebook, etc. to affirm and honor the value of ao dai in social life”.

In addition, Dam Doi District Labor Federation also actively responded to the “Giving Ao dai, Ao dai of love, preserving the beauty of traditional ao dai” program has launched by the Provincial Labor Federation, through the activities to donate, give new or used ao dai to female union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the district. In order to effectively organize activities to respond to “Ao dai Week” in 2024, launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union has issued an official dispatch requesting departments, branches, branches and unions. At the provincial level, the Women's Union of districts and Ca Mau city and affiliated women's associations launched and organized activities during “Ao dai Week”. This is the fourth year that the Provincial Women's Union has launched a response to “Ao dai Week” and received enthusiastic participation and response from women across the province.
