VNHNO - A cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan was held by the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association chapter in Hanoi on September 8 to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Head of the Hanoi Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation and Chairwoman of Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations said that over the past 45 years, Vietnam and Japan have become important partners in many areas including trade, culture, education and tourism, particularly after raising the level of relations to an extensive strategic partnership in 2014.

She noted that the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association chapter in Hanoi always pays great attention to promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, especially between Hanoi and Tokyo.
Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association chapter in Hanoi, Vu Van Vien, said that the association has held a number of activities in various fields to increase the mutual understanding and solidarity between the people of Hanoi and Tokyo and between Vietnam and Japan in general.
At the event, Vietnamese and Japanese artisans and teachers introduced delegates to various genres of Vietnamese and Japanese art including origami, Ikebana flower arrangement, and moon cake making in addition to exhibitions on Japanese Haikou poetry, among others./.
