The meeting took place in a warm, open, and sincere atmosphere, aiming to strengthen cooperation and promote the friendship between the two countries and their peoples. This marks one of the initial activities in a series that links research with practice in international integration by the Institute and the Magazine, in line with the Party’s and State’s foreign policy and international integration strategy — “Development Policies of Countries around the World: Reference Values and Opportunities for Cooperation with Vietnam.”
Speaking at the meeting, Lawyer and Journalist Doan Manh Phuong – President of the Institute of Policy, Law and Management, and Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Integration Magazine – provided an overview of the Institute’s and the Magazine’s formation and development over the past period, as well as their future orientations. He emphasized the role of the media in building bridges of culture, mutual understanding, and cooperation among nations, while expressing his desire to strengthen collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Colombia in promoting the image, people, and development achievements of both countries to readers at home and abroad.
At the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Colombia to Vietnam highly appreciated the initiatives proposed by the leadership of the Institute and the Editorial Board of the Magazine in fostering cooperation and sharing information on economic development policies, as well as responses to climate change linked with global sustainable development. She expressed her hope that, through Vietnam Integration Magazine, Colombian and Vietnamese businesses would have more opportunities to exchange information, cooperate, and invest for mutual growth, especially as the two countries, having established diplomatic relations 46 years ago, are moving toward more comprehensive and effective cooperation in both the present and the future.
At the meeting, the two sides agreed on several specific areas of cooperation in the coming time, such as: organizing a special feature introducing the country and people of Colombia in Vietnam Integration Magazine; coordinating to hold cultural exchange events, bilateral discussions, and seminars; exchanging reporters and collaborators between the two sides to add more depth to media content; and facilitating connections for businesses of both countries to meet, share information, and promote investment and trade for mutual development. The meeting also opened up new avenues of cooperation between Vietnam and Colombia, making practical contributions to fostering friendship, mutual understanding, and a partnership for joint development in the context of increasingly deep international integration.

Not only did the meeting contribute to strengthening the Vietnam - Colombia friendship, it also opened up practical directions for cooperation; creating opportunities for the Institute of Policy, Law and Management together with Vietnam Integration Magazine to further promote their role as a bridge linking research, practice, and integration, accompanying the nation in the era of globalization.
