The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien, Vice Chairman of the Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Park Jae Hyun, Director of the International Development Cooperation Department at the Korea Institute of Construction Engineering and Technology (KICT); Mr. Jun Yong Joo, CEO of Dtonic Company (Korea); leadership from Dtonic Vina Company (the Vietnamese branch of Dtonic), as well as leaders from Tra Vinh University and several provincial departments and agencies.
In his address at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Quynh Thien highlighted the numerous economic, educational, and cultural cooperation activities between Tra Vinh province and South Korea. Korean companies consistently lead in terms of total investment capital among foreign companies in Tra Vinh.
The signing of this cooperation agreement is the culmination of proactive discussions between South Korean partners and provincial departments and agencies. It aims to expand and enhance the cooperative relationship between the two sides in areas such as high technology, smart technology, climate change adaptation, and scientific research, all of which Tra Vinh province prioritizes for investment and development.
According to Park Jae Hyun, Director of KICT's International Development Cooperation Department, KICT is actively developing various international research and cooperation projects with Vietnam. He expressed hope that the signing of this agreement would foster practical technology exchange projects with Tra Vinh.
Mr. Jun Yong Joo, CEO of Dtonic Company, emphasized that Dtonic is a leading global enterprise in data-related fields, driving technological innovation and digital transformation through numerous projects both domestically and internationally.
We firmly believe that today's cooperation agreements will promote technological growth in both Korea and Vietnam, thereby contributing to the development of local communities," emphasized Mr. Jun Yong Joo.
During the ceremony, the Korea Institute of Construction Engineering and Technology, the Department of Information and Communications of Tra Vinh province, and Tra Vinh University signed a cooperation agreement to develop technology and promote joint projects in smart urban markets and advanced global smart transportation systems.
Additionally, Dtonic Company, the Department of Science and Technology of Tra Vinh province, and Tra Vinh University signed a cooperation agreement to share information, exchange technology, human resources, and training, as well as to conduct and support joint research. They will also provide and operate testing platforms, promote joint projects, and co-facilitate international cooperation projects in the field of smart cities and digital infrastructure transformation.
Furthermore, Dtonic Company, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tra Vinh province, and Tra Vinh University inked a cooperation agreement to implement the project "Testing the construction of a groundwater saline intrusion monitoring system in the Mekong River basin, Vietnam South," with an implementation period from March 2024 to the end of December 2024.Top of Form
