The Japanese government contributed 195,277 USD in funding to Dong Thap agricultural development.

On the morning of March 25, a signing ceremony for non-refundable help from the Japanese government for the project of sustainable community development through human resource training in organic agriculture, food processing, and business management of the Seed to Table Organization (second year) was held at the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the ceremony, as did leaders from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Center for Agricultural Services, the Center for Agricultural Services, Management and exploitation of irrigation works and clean water in rural areas of the Province.

Mr. Ono Masuo, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, and Ms. Ino Mayu,
Chief Representative of the Seed to Table Organization, signed the Japanese government's
aid contract for the Seed to Table Foundation Project.

Mr. Ono Masuo, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, stated that this is the second year the project has received aid, with a total of 195,277 USD. He also had the opportunity to test the project's dried mango product. Because this is an organic product with no additives, it is safe to consume, and you can taste the natural sweetness in every bite. The mango gives it a distinct and wonderful flavor.

In the second year, the project will continue to provide training sessions on organic agriculture and company management, as well as increase research and processing to generate new products from Dong Province's other traditional agricultural goods, such as lotus, rather than just mango products. Mr. Ono Masuo informed us and expressed his excitement about the project's items becoming available on the market.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Huynh Minh Tuan, praised the project's effectiveness, particularly in terms of raising environmental awareness, improving community health, improving income for small-scale farmer households, using farmer jobs, training students in organic agricultural techniques, and so on. This is a necessary condition for Dong Thap’s agriculture to progressively develop, following the instructions carefully and securely.
