On the afternoon of January 6, 2022, at the Dong Xuyen Hotel Convention Center (Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province), the delegation of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, led by Mr. Le Van Nung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, accompanied by leaders of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies & Enterprises and Party Committees, visited and worked with the Party Committee of Sao Mai Group.

Reporting to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, according to Mr. Le Thanh Thuan, Secretary of the Party Committee cum General Director of Sao Mai Group, An Giang is one of the very few provinces in the country with positive growth in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Provincial authorities have urgently executed several effective remedies to stamp out the pandemic with considerable effort, commitment, ingenuity, and dynamism. Simultaneously, they have assisted enterprises in stabilizing production and commercial situations, as well as gradually returning people's lives to a new normal stage.

Sao Mai Group has adequate operating strategies to adjust from time to time, based on that shared achievement. Prior to the pandemic, Sao Mai's annual earnings ranged from VND 14,000 to VND 15,000 billion, with the state government receiving tens of billions of VNDs. However, Covid-19 had an impact on profitability, but the fundamentals outperformed forecasts. In particular, the number of employees, particularly the salary of Group employees, stays consistent, and health care and protection are important priorities. Sao Mai has succeeded admirably in the "5K" measures, injecting a full dosage of vaccine for 12,000 workers under the slogan "3 on the spot." As a result, manufacturing and business operations in the member firms' chain, as well as the Group's facilities, are not disrupted.
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, Sao Mai Group remained in the Top 10 Fastest Growing Enterprises in Vietnam, the TOP 50 Most Effective Companies in Vietnam, and the TOP 500 Vietnamese Largest Enterprises. The clean energy industry, in particular, plays a "leading role" and accounts for up to 40% of the Group's overall income. Sao Mai Solar Power Plant was recently named one of the "Top 10 typical Vietnamese Renewable Energy Projects in 2021."

In the field of real estate, the Group continued to implement many new projects, such as Lam Son - Sao Vang urban area project (Thanh Hoa), Binh Long urban area project (Chau Phu), expansion of Sao Mai - Binh Khanh luxury urban area and a new urban area project in Tan Chau.
Sao Mai Party Committee Secretary further stated that after the pandemic, Sao Mai would boost workers' remuneration, raise payments to the state budget, and collaborate with the province Party Committee to achieve social security and long-term economic development.
Sao Mai Group's Party Committee currently has 08 branches under the grassroots Party Committee. Although it is a non-state-owned enterprise, the Group has a fairly strong Party member force with 227 comrades. They are all those who have been taught in skills, manners, and good ethics, and who have been entrusted with leadership positions in the Board of Directors, Board of Directors, Heads, and Deputy Heads of departments by the Party Committee.
In 2021, Sao Mai Group received many Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Labor Confederation. The Party Committee is graded as Excellent Completion of the Tasks. The collective of the Party Committee is classified as having accomplished the tasks successfully. Comrades in the Party Committee's Standing Committee, as well as Mr. Le Thanh Thuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director, were recognized and acknowledged for excellently completing tasks.

Congratulating the achievements that Sao Mai Party Committee has achieved, according to Mr. Le Van Nung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Group has successfully completed the plans and tasks assigned by the Party, building a united, pure and strong Party. Sao Mai, which is always active and overcomes hurdles, would be a positive inspiration to society, deserving of the title of leading bird in the business community of An Giang and the region.
