One of the proud feats 47 years ago, Ninh Thuan's army and people with the main army together smashed the "remote defense line to defend Saigon" of the Nguy Quyen, liberated Ninh Thuan's homeland at 9:30 on April 16, 1975, contributing to creating a position, paving the way for our great army to liberate Saigon, successfully ending the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, liberating the South and reunifying the country.
That victory was a brilliant milestone in the history of revolutionary struggle; demonstrating the strength of the spirit of solidarity, the will to be resilient and indomitable; is the pride of the tradition of heroic struggle for independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism of Ninh Thuan Party Committee and People. Immediately after being liberated, the provisional revolutionary government of Ninh Thuan province was established, quickly stabilizing the situation and people's life. From February 1976 to 1991, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Binh Tuy were merged into Thuan Hai province. At the 10th session, at the request of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Council of Thuan Hai province, the VIII National Assembly decided to split Thuan Hai province into two provinces of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan. On April 1, 1992, Ninh Thuan province was re-established and officially put into operation, with 4 administrative units under it, with 1 town, 3 districts and 52 commune-level administrative units.
Inheriting and promoting the glorious revolutionary tradition and great achievements of the heroic Ninh Thuan Party Committee, army and people, right from the early days of re-establishing the province, the entire Party Committee has shown high political determination, identifying economic development as a central task, Party building is the key and the requirement is to quickly build a strong leadership, management and administration apparatus from the province to the grassroots, capable of make major decisions to promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development. Through the congresses of the Provincial Party Committee - from the 8th Congress to the XIV Congress, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee always thoroughly grasp and properly and creatively apply guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on specific conditions of the province; identify key tasks, focus and breakthrough solutions, create a solid development position in each specific period with local realities.
Over 30 years in the context of advantages, difficulties and challenges intertwined; however, with the attention of leadership, direction, support and assistance of the Central Government, along with the continuous flow in thinking and actions of generations of leaders of Ninh Thuan province over the periods is the initiative, be creative in making the right guidelines and directions, dare to think, dare to do, dare to break through, go ahead, pave the way for development, and with the efforts and efforts of the whole political system. The government, business community and people of all ethnic groups in the province created a Ninh Thuan that has the position it is today. In the past thirty years, in the fields of economy, culture - society, security - defense, foreign affairs, Party building and the political system have been implemented synchronously and drastically, in order to bring vitality for dry land named Ninh Thuan.
From a province with a low socio-economic starting point, after 30 years of re-establishment, the province's economy has had a huge change, developed rapidly, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP at current prices) in 2021 increased by 69.6 times compared to 1992, the average growth rate is 8.14%/year, higher than the average growth rate of the whole country after 30 years of renovation by 7%, the Central region 8.05 %. Growth in the latter period is higher than in the previous period, especially in the period 2011-2021, which is the way for Ninh Thuan province to improve its position and develop comprehensively in a fast and sustainable direction, especially with the view of turning the disadvantages of the province become a competitive advantage, turning challenges into opportunities for development, taking the policy of developing renewable energy as a breakthrough, the economic growth rate has always reached a high level, especially in the last 3 years despite facing many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The province's growth rate (GRDP) is among the top in the country and by the end of 2021, the income (GRDP) will reach 68.4 million VND/person, 49.9 times higher than in 1992 and quickly shorten the gap compared to the whole country. Breakthroughs in marine economy, renewable energy and tourism have been gradually promoted. State budget revenue in the area maintained at a high growth rate, increasing from VND 33.3 billion in 1992 to VND 4,343 billion in 2021, an average increase of 18.3%. Total social investment increased rapidly, from 67.8 billion VND in 1992 to 29,920 billion VND in 2021, an average increase of 23.4%.

Production of agriculture, forestry and fishery starts from the lowest group of the country both in terms of scale and level of development, and is the driest center in the country. Industrial production in the early years of re-establishing the province faced many difficulties and developed slowly. The industrial production value in 2021 reached more than 10,000 billion VND, which was 43.8 times higher than in 1992, the average annual growth rate is 13.9%/year. The tourism industry has made a clear development, attracting many large-scale and high-class tourism projects, many newly formed tourist routes and attractions associated with improving service quality. Trading in the province has developed strongly, the quality of services has been improved. Transportation services are well developed. Post and telecommunications maintain and develop communication smoothly. The real estate market initially attracted the attention of large investors; Real estate brokerage and business activities have been gradually formed and developed. Finance - banking has developed stably, state budget revenue has increased, budget expenditure has been ensured thrift and efficiency; banking credit services thrived in both quantity and quality, better meeting the needs of people and businesses for financial and banking services.
Planning mark off is always valued, determined to be one step ahead and has a long-term strategic vision, which is the basis for implementing socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security. Development investment has grown quite well, capital structure has changed positively, management and use efficiency has been improved; The investment and business environment is constantly improving. Many modern and large-scale multi-purpose irrigation projects have been completed, bringing into full play their effectiveness in preventing and responding to climate change, natural disasters, storms, floods, and salinity prevention and solution to the problem of drinking water and production for the present and the future. Road traffic is becoming more and more complete and developing rapidly, the traffic network is spread evenly throughout the province, with high connectivity. After 30 years of re-establishing, building and developing, besides the achievements, the Provincial Party Committee frankly acknowledged that there are still some difficulties and limitations, which are that the economy has grown quite well but not commensurate with the country's economic potential and advantages of the province. Technical infrastructure is not really synchronous, connectivity is not high, and has not created a breakthrough for development, especially traffic infrastructure of some arterial roads of the province. The quantity and quality of human resources have not met the requirements.
