Ha Long Bay among Top 10 Most-Visited Natural Wonders

With 2.6 million visitors annually, Ha Long Bay in Viet Nam was ranked fourth out of 10 most-visited natural wonders of the world, by magazine The Travel.

The U.S.-based magazine said that Viet Nam is a distinctive country blessed with numerous beautiful natural attractions.

Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, with its emerald waters and nearly 2000 limestone islands and islets, gathers 2.6 million visitors annually. The site attracts hikers, swimmers, divers, and rock climbers.

The Travel suggested that the best time to visit Ha Long Bay is in March, April, September, and October.

Located just a two-hour drive from Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay was recognized for its outstanding geological and geomorphological value by the World Heritage Committee in 2000.

It was listed among 24 travel destinations worldwide for 2024 by luxury travel experts at OvationNetwork.

U.S. magazine Travel+Leisure also named the bay among the four idyllic seaside places across Asia to watch sunrise and sunset.

The UNESCO heritage site was one of most beautiful places in the world to add to any traveller's bucket list in 2022.

In 2019, the bay was listed by British travel magazine Rough Guides as one of the 10 best UNESCO sites in Asia.
