VNHNO - Pyrotechnic shows were held at two venues in Ho Chi Minh City on the night of September 2 to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and the Vietnamese National Day.
From 7am, streams of people gathered at the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street and the Dam Sen Cultural Park to choose the best location for viewing fireworks.

In addition to the fireworks displays, the city’s residents were also treated to an arts programme with performances recalling Vietnam’s heroic history from the resistance against the French and the Americans to the period of integration and development.

* In the central city of Da Nang, tourists and local residents were treated to stunning jet ski performances on the Han River, as part of a wide range of sports and cultural activities to celebrate the National Day.
According to the local tourism department, the number of domestic tourists to Da Nang over the three-day holiday is expected to increase by 9.5%, while international arrivals are expected to rise by 12.1%.
